SCHS RECEIVES A DELEGATION FROM THE GOVERNMENT DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT TO ENHANCE
On Wednesday, June 3, 2026, Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services (SCHS) received a delegation from the Government Development Department of the General Secretariat of the Executive Council in the Emirate of Sharjah. The delegation included Brigadier Dr. Tariq Al Madfa, Advisor to the Government Development Department; Engineer Hamid Al Shamsi, Director of the Government Development Department; Ms. Hanadi Al Muhairi, Government Development Department Expert; and Ms. Alia Al Suwaidi, Media and Photography Officer.
Directors and officials from SCHS's departments and branches attended a session that presented the program plan in an effort to increase knowledge of it, learn about the best practices used to improve customer experience, and talk about how to put development initiatives into action.
This approach comes as a translation of the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of the Emirate of Sharjah, and within the context of the Sharjah Customer Experience Improvement Program, which was launched by the Executive Council, chaired by His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Executive Council.
During the session, the program's plan and objectives for the next phase were presented, with emphasis on the importance of integrating efforts among various government entities to ensure the achievement of strategic targets and to unify standards related to customer experience, thereby contributing to raising the level of quality and efficiency in service delivery.
The importance of continued cooperation and coordination between government entities was also emphasized, in order to ensure the sustainability of the development of government services, achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction, and consolidate the position of the Emirate of Sharjah as a leading model in providing distinguished government services.
A Human-Centered Approach That Places The Customer At The Heart Of The Development Process.
On this occasion, Her Excellency Sheikha Jameela bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of SCHS, affirmed that the Sharjah Customer Experience Improvement Program is one of the most prominent strategic initiatives that reflects the vision of the Emirate of Sharjah in developing government work and improving the quality of services, based on a humanitarian approach that places the customer at the heart of the development process, and makes their needs and aspirations the basis for designing and improving services.
She said that SCHS pays great attention to aligning its plans and programs with the objectives of this program, by adopting best practices in providing services, developing work mechanisms to ensure easy access to services, raising their efficiency, and enhancing their inclusiveness, in order to serve people with disabilities and their families.
Her Excellency pointed out that improving the customer experience is not limited to the procedural or technical aspect only, but extends to building an integrated corporate culture based on listening to customers, accurately understanding their needs, and responding to them proactively, in order to ensure the improvement of the quality of services in a sustainable and continuous manner.
In conclusion, Sheikha Jameela Al Qasimi explained that SCHS is continuing to strengthen its partnership with various government entities in the emirate, in support of the Sharjah Customer Experience Improvement Program, and in order to achieve the emirate’s vision of providing advanced, humane, and comprehensive government services that enhance the quality of life and strengthen Sharjah’s position as a leading model in distinguished government work.
Enhancing The Quality Of Government Services
Engineer Hamid Al Shamsi, Director of Government Development Department in the Emirate of Sharjah, affirmed that the Sharjah Customer Experience Improvement Program represents one of the strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of government services and establishing a culture that places the customer at the heart of development and continuous improvement processes.
He pointed out that the Government Development Department is keen to build effective partnerships with various government entities in the emirate, and to spread knowledge and practices related to customer experience, which contributes to unifying efforts, exchanging experiences and achieving the highest levels of efficiency and excellence in providing services.
He added that the cooperation with SCHS reflects the commitment of both sides to promoting the concepts of distinguished government service, and developing work environments that support innovation and continuous improvement, which will positively impact customers and enhance the quality of services provided to them.
He stressed that the next phase will witness the continued implementation of awareness and development initiatives and programs aimed at establishing a culture of customer experience in government agencies, in line with the directions of the Emirate of Sharjah and its vision to provide proactive and integrated government services that contribute to enhancing customer satisfaction and achieving quality of life.
