Ammar said about this achievement, “Special thanks to Her Highness Sheikha Jameela bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Al Amal School for the Deaf, and the University of Sharjah.  Had it not been for the support they provided according to the best international practices, things would have been completely different”.

He added, “From the beginning, the goal was clear to me. In order to achieve it, I committed myself to studying, hardworking and overcoming challenges. When I was in the tenth grade, I chose the science stream and finished high school. Then, I joined the College of Engineering”.

Ammar directed his sincerest thanks to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for his unlimited support to persons with disabilities rights, which includes education.  He explained that he benefited from the scholarship granted by His Highness to persons with disabilities who wish to continue their higher education at the University of Sharjah.  Thus, he joined the Faculty of Engineering and graduated as the first Architect with hearing impairment in the United Arab Emirates.

Ammar talked about the unlimited support of his family in every stage of his life.  His mother, Mrs. Jammalat Abed Al-Majeed Mohammad Dahib confirmed this and said, “In 1996, our family was living in Sudan and we heard about Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services and the services it offers to persons with disabilities including those with hearing impairment.  Therefore, my husband decided to move his work to United Arab Emirates so that Ammar can join Al Amal School for the Deaf and benefit from its distinguished education.

Ammar’s mother directed her sincerest thanks to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, Her Highness Sheikha Jameela bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Director General of SCHS, Al Amal School for the Deaf, and the University of Sharjah.  She wished them all her best.
