EMIRATES ENVIRONMENTAL GROUP HONORS SHARJAH CITY FOR HUMANITARIAN SERVICES

Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services (SCHS) deserved the commemorative armor presented by Emirates Environmental Group in its annual celebration organized under the theme (One world…  One family) for SCHS vital role in coordinating for the organization (Clean UAE) campaign years ago.

Mrs. Khadijah Ahmed Bamakhramah, Head of SCHS Environmental Association, has confirmed the importance of raising people’s awareness of environmental issues such as reducing pollution.

She said, “SCHS contribution to Emirates Environmental Group is not restricted to taking part in the campaign.  In addition, SCHS organizes a group of activities and programs to raise people’s awareness of environmental issues.  For example, SCHS organized an activity in which students with disabilities sketched some magnificent drawings about environment.  SCHS has chosen many of these drawings for its official calendar”.

“More than 194 students, parents, and teachers from SCHS participated in the campaign this year under the supervision of Sharjah Municipality and BEAA Company”, added Mrs. Bamakhramah.

Mrs. Bamakhramah has pointed out that raising people’s awareness of environmental issues as well as SCHS participation in (Clean UAE) campaign every year confirms institute’s commitment to a clean natural surroundings and proves that persons with disabilities care to the safety and hygiene of the environment.  This reflects the high quality services of education and rehabilitation, which Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services offers to persons with disabilities according to the best practices worldwide.

The Head of SCHS Environmental Association has praised the honoring of Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services, which takes part in (Clean UAE) campaign every year due to its great concern to environmental issues and its endless efforts in raising persons with disabilities awareness of its importance.

She has confirmed that SCHS continue its efforts to consolidate the relationships of cooperation with local, regional, and international bodies in order to include, advocate, and empower persons with disabilities.  This would lead to achieving the goals of sustainable development program according to the best practices worldwide.  

Mrs. Bamakhramah directed her sincerest thanks to Mrs. Habiba Al Marashi, Chairperson of Emirates Environmental Group, and her working team for their huge efforts in order to raise people’s awareness of environmental issues.
