6, 000,000 AED FROM DUBAI ISLAMIC BANK TO SUPPORT SCHS
Dubai Islamic Bank has set aside six million dirhams from its zakat funds for the year 2025 as a contribution to cover the tuition costs for qualified students with disabilities at Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services (SCHS). This action embodies the values of giving, solidarity, and social responsibility for Zakat in accordance with Sharia-compliant expanses, within the parameters of the two parties' joint cooperation agreement and the pledge to distribute Dubai Islamic Zakat funds in compliance with the bank-approved Sharia rules.
This support comes as an extension of a fruitful cooperation between Dubai Islamic bank and SCHS, reflecting the commitment of both parties to promoting humanitarian and community work, and developing sustainable initiatives that have a direct impact on the lives of beneficiaries, and contribute to providing opportunities for education, rehabilitation and care for the deserving and most needy groups in society .
This qualitative support also constitutes an important tributary to SCHS Zakat Campaign for the year 2026 under the slogan “Your Zakat Makes an Impact,” which aims to provide tuition fees, educational and rehabilitation services for students with disabilities who are entitled to Zakat funds, thereby enhancing the continuity of their educational journey and emphasizing the importance of national institutions joining forces to consolidate the sustainable developmental and humanitarian impact of Zakat.
In this context, the total support approved by the Zakat Funds Disbursement Committee for the year 2025-2026 amounts to 11,508,300, noting that the number of students eligible for Zakat funds for the year 2025-2026 is (509) students at SCHS level.
SCHS affirms that tuition fees do not cover the full cost of specialized educational and rehabilitation services provided to students, which necessitates continuous work to provide diverse and sustainable sources of income, in order to ensure the continuity of the quality of services and their development in accordance with best practices.
